Passionate about earth observation, climate change, and civic science? Or simply love a good idea worth sharing? Then come join us on November 16th, 2017 for another TEDxRheinmain event. This one is called “Decoding the Blue Dot” because we will present you a line-up of speakers that will share ideas and stories about the importance – and the beauty – of Earth observation, how it can help us in making lives better all over the world and understand the effects of climate change.
And what better place to do this than at the EUMETSAT headquarter in Darmstadt: the Mission Control Center for their satellites and the place where much of the data they provide is made available!
Come and hear Pierre-Yves Cousteau talk about his passion – the oceans of our world. Be inspired by Eelco Dykstra’s view on Risk and Resilience: we don’t need more science but better stories! Listen to Kwame Adu-Agyekume telling the story of how he helps Ghanaien fishers by using satellite data. See how Remko Scharroo unravels the mysteries of measuring sea level for us.
